How to Help

• Individuals can call for the greening of their governor's mansion grounds and rally others to the cause.  Encourage local chapters of environmental groups, especially those protecting waterways and promoting native plants, to also contact the governor's mansion staff to ask about the practices and encourage improvements in watershed protection, provision for wildlife, and more.  Residents of cities with official mayoral residences can encourage similar actions on that front.  Also when good practices are found, sing their praises!

•  Organizations can get involved and get listed in our sidebar as "Supporting Organizations."  Here's how.

•  Everyone with a blog or other website can display the Green the Grounds badge.  Here's the code for the badge you see over in the right-hand column, which includes a live link:  <a href="http://www.greenthegrounds.org/"><img class="at-xid-6a00d83451bd5e69e201156fc0eaaa970b " title="Green the Grounds.or Badge" alt="Green the Grounds.or Badge" src="http://www.gardenrant.com/.a/6a00d83451bd5e69e201156fc0eaaa970b-800wi" border=0></A>

• Anyone with information about governors' mansions or mayors' official residences, should tell us about them.
